Just noticed I can pull youtube into this...
Kids In Glass Houses are a band I rather enjoy. Tickets were out on Weds, no idea if they are good live, so this video tells me to get tickets. Its been uploaded by someone on youtube, youtube itself is social networking in a sense, and therefore gives the same kind of idea's as Twitter with news.

Media Prep 23rd June Blah.
Prep today is to do something more on the idea of Twitter and Facebook's privacy ideas. Prep was to get 6 different web pages up, well, 6 different links and explain HOW and WHY they link over. I decided to add in the ideas of Twitter being the favorable nowadays due to Facebook slowly turning into twitter. I haven't even started and this sounds a little annoying due to the slight difficulty of the subject. But urm, I will get through, why you ask? Because my opinion is fact.

Facebook like Twitter?
That is a link basically about how Facebook is slowly becoming more and more privacy related, and that it is also adding more and more Twitter like features. Privacy is clearly becoming so important that it is even hitting the official news as apposed to just thoughts and forums.

Blogspot annoys me with the whole point of adding a link. #Jussayin.
That link is for another article, this tome on firefox, and how they are incorporating an encryption link to their facebook and twitter. This could add or remove privacy, but I find this interesting because surely, Facebook and Twitter might rule the world someday? Maybe with iTunes? Or Spotify? Who knows.
Spies? LOLWhut.
BT Sarah is basically spying on people, including famous people eg. Lilly Allen. BT is using software to look into your facebook, check it out.
Even MSNBC has things for and against it.
MSNBC has also joined the facebook privacy bandwagon, explaining how they make the privacy simpler alot. And I mean, ALOT. Check out the Twitter links in there too ;D
Facebook Group Extremeists?
This was a link of a great article explaining how there are groups that literally enter political being, BP hating and BP loving ideas, and the groups are almost like political parties. Worth a look. Other ones are the extreme parties attempting to get "Kill Obama" some scary stuff is put on facebook.
In the long run, I'm not gonna lie, I'm a Twitter fanboy. Its a better idea in the long run, and just because people don't have "Walls" and cant "Post comments" etc. Doesn't mean its awful basically. So I might end up being slightly biased towards Twitter in this. But I will try include Facebook into it ;D

Idea for web research.
One major idea I have had, and am interested in, is the privacy issues surrounding Twitter and Facebook. People nowadays are turning a little bit too, health and safety wise, yet they don't seem to have any kind of privacy issues surrounding Facebook and Twitter, but mainly Facebook. All Facebook have is its own safety aspects, what people can see etc, but people still believe that this is not enough, and that more should be done about the privacy issues. Can you be the only one to add people? Should people be allowed to look at your friends? Things like this are constantly pulled up against Facebook. Twitter is slowly becoming the same, even the parts of the website sound bad, you don't "become friends" you "follow" one another. And people don't even have to follow back. Twitter is basically the "unsafe" facebook, or the public facebook. As shown above.
I plan to write an essay based around these issues, and other aspects around internet social lives that can be wrong.
But of course, as ever, I might have to be slightly biased toward twitter ;D
Also, off topic but good none-the-less. My dad hates me and wants me to leave Bedes.

Media, Prep?
So apparently, I have to introduce myself to this blog.
Who knew.
So Im Will Fisher, as you already know, and I'm 16 and do Media for A Level. I apparently have to write down some stuff about myself, and put down a photo. So firstly I will tell you, I am practically loving Alice in Wonderland. So here is a great photo.
Anyway, Im actually going to do an A2 on a thing about Twitter and Facebook, and how they are changing the ways the internet works and how the privacy could change the way things work. Its still a vague idea of what I'm ACTUALLY doing, but thats about it.
Im also a music lover, again you all know this, but I have to explain it. I basically love blink-182 and all other pop-punk bands.
Basically, yeah thats about it.
